Health confidence from Nashville Car Title Loans

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

A vehicle title loan might be one way people borrow money for vacations or TVs or partying. But that’s not why I did it.  I was trying to stay healthy.

Here’s my story. Our oldest sister died of colon cancer when she was 38, so it’s apparently something in our genes (an aunt had it too).  They say a colonoscopy is essential for people with it in their family, that if you catch it early enough it’s treatable.   OK, I did that when I had good health insurance.  But when I started my own business, I found out I could only get insurance with a big deductible.  Colonoscopies cost $2600, which means I’d be paying it entirely out of pocket.

I was due for a check this spring, but with this economy my business was in the dumps, I was making next to nothing, I had bad credit and I just simply had no spare money.  In order to get the colonoscopy, I had to find a loan.  It was that important to me — and because a friend of mine’s husband had years of treatment for his colon cancer that they caught at stage 3, they had more than $90,000 of health care costs they couldn’t pay — I knew that an investment in early detection might save me in the long run.

So I went online to find some fast cash.  Yahoo took me to Nashville Car Title Loans, and they told me the title on my Toyota 4×4 was worth $3200 – pretty close to the cost of the colonoscopy.  I took that as a sign. I filed the online application in 25 minutes and got approved in about 45 minutes.

Then I called to make the appointment.  They found four polyps, but nothing malignant.  I didn’t realize this at the time, but I think the idea of possibly having cancer held me back in trying to grow my business.  Now I have new confidence. For me, the automobile title loan in was like the old saying, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

My car = new refrigerator through Nashville Car Title Loans

Wednesday, October 22nd, 2008

It’s a funny time in our economy.  Just when you think the chips are down, you find a deal that reminds you there is an opportunity in every dilemma.

My wife had been nagging me about getting a new refrigerator for two years.  I didn’t see a real problem with the old one, even though it was not working real well.  And my brother-in-law the genius told us how old refrigerators use a lot more electricity than the new ones, so buying a new one saves you money eventually.

The real problem is we’re barely making ends meet these days and we have bad credit because we missed paying some bills.  I dodged a bullet on the last layoff at work, but who knows what is coming down the pike.

The good thing is our car is paid for.  Better yet, I figured out a way to use the car to get a new refrigerator.  First, a lot of people are selling good things on the Internet for cheap because they are in a bad financial situation.  A builder out near Murfreesboro advertised $2000 refrigerator-freezers for $500 (obviously, he’s desperate).  But I don’t have $500 in spare change sitting around the house.  So brother-in-law the genius tells me, “get a car title loan.”

I checked out Nashville Car Title Loans and yeah, sure enough, the value of my car could get me up to $3000 in a loan.  All I needed was the $500, so I went to their online application and viola!, I had the money for the refrigerator.  It’s one of those nice stainless steel models with the freezer in the bottom drawer.  And already in the first month we’ve seen our electricity costs go down.

So brother-in-law the genius really isn’t so bright after all.  He took our old refrigerator and hooked it up in his garage.  At least I can give him credit for knowing that a car title loan in this economy can be a smart move.

Peace of mind in crisis from Nashville Car Title Loans

Monday, October 20th, 2008

I’m a responsible, working single mother. I have to be extremely careful about how I spend and save money for the sake of my children.

That’s why I did something I never did before.  I borrowed money by using my car title as collateral.  And I’d do it again if I had to.

It began with an unexpected medical emergency with one of my children.  My son was in an accident and required hospitalization at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, two surgical procedures, rehabilitation and medications to control both pain and infection. He is five years old.

My employer has a comprehensive benefits program, including health insurance coverage.  It’s a program I’ve paid into for more than seven years. We now pay much higher premiums than just a few years ago.  And, each employee covers a greater percentage of those premiums. My own premium costs rose in two years by more than $200 per month.

But in our healthcare system (if we’re still calling it that), even that much coverage was not enough.  I had to argue with the insurance company on several points of coverage.  We had to halt physical therapy for six weeks because they were telling us it wasn’t covered.  To my shock, my out-of-pocket costs came in at $4000. Trying to handle all this, having to hire help with my son so I could continue working, cost even more money and I fell behind in my bills and earned the bad credit designation that is the kiss of death in the American economic system.  I couldn’t get a bank loan or an extension of credit from my credit card companies.

A friend gave me the idea of a car title loan. It became a way to buy time and work out a plan.  And, we were able to resume my son’s physical therapy that has had a clear benefit in his recovery.

Nashville Car Title Loans was the company I used.   You go online, spend about 20 minutes on the online application. The money is in your checking account in one day. I recommend to anyone in this situation to get auto title loans for economic survival and peace of mind.

Recovery from debt, disaster at Nashville Car Title Loans

Friday, October 17th, 2008

When I bought my Durango a few years ago, I’ll admit it was for selfish reason.  I just liked having a big truck, and dreamed of offroad hauling far more than I did it.

But that was before disasters started to happen.  First it was medical bills that our insurance didn’t cover. Then it was my job in Belle Meade – gone one day and nobody expected it.  Then came tornado season throughout the south, including some F2s and F3s right here in Tennessee.

The tornadoes (and floods) were actually an opportunity for me, although they were of course tragedies for people directly hit.  Just about a month after I went on unemployment, I heard about work I could get in areas going through storm recovery.  They need lighter trucks to haul salvageable debris to storage and back when new homes were built again.  That’s work I can do.

But that kind of work doesn’t pay right away.  You’re waiting on insurance claims, and then getting paid by your boss who is a subcontractor himself.  So sometimes you work six, eight weeks before you see the money.  Grant it, when it comes in it’s good and well worth the time and travel.   But with my bad credit and bills piling up, I didn’t know how we’d get by.

To MY rescue was Nashville Car Title Loans.  They have an online application form that takes just about 20 minutes to complete.  With an auto cash title loans company, there is no credit check.  So it’s fast — fast enough to cover my financial responsibilities at home while I’m working hundreds of miles away.

Nashville Car Title Loans save the car

Thursday, October 16th, 2008

As it is for most people in the Nashville area, your car is your lifeline for managing a household and getting to work. I live nearby in Smyrna, and worked for the same company for ten years just a mile from my house. The car I drive was getting older, but even with a few problems it didn’t require a lot of maintenance.

Then about six months ago my employer laid half of us off. My skills are specialized, so getting a new job down here wasn’t likely.  The good news is I found a new job in about three months.  The bad news is it is in Hendersonville – more than 30 miles up 24 and then on the 386.  I wasn’t so keen about that, but worse, this hit right when my car needed about $1500 in repair work.  With a gap in income, I had already depleted my resources and the credit cards reached their limits – in this economy, that translates into bad credit.

It was through Nashville Car Title Loans that I realized I could use my car’s value to finance the car repairs. It was super simple.  I went to their online application, filled it out in minutes, and by the next morning I had the fast cash to pay the mechanic.  By finding cash for car title loans, a person can make sure they keep earning a living.  That’s smart money.
